• The Belgian financial sector consults various stakeholders on a proposal for a quality standard for sustainable financial products. The standard includes a sustainability label and several minimum requirements that such a product must meet.

    As of today, April 25, 2018, all interested parties can read the quality standard proposal via the Febelfin website, submit their comments and fill out a short survey.

  • As from 3 January 2018, banks and investment firms that carry out transactions in financial instruments must make a detailed report of these transactions to the relevant authority, at the latest by the end of the following working day. One of the elements that must be reported is the identity of the ultimate client that ordered the transaction.

  • On November 26, the European Parliament and the Council of the EU agreed upon a Commission proposal for European Long Term Investments Funds. Two days later , the European Commission published the 2015 Annual Growth Survey and has completed its assessment of 16 euro area countries’ 2015 Draft Budgetary Plans.
